START WITH YOUR SYSTEM

Simple to use.
Clear to understand.

Every opening has its own motors, hardware and controls. Use the instructions supplied for your installation, and ask Airla if you are unsure which functions apply to your system.

01 / CONTROLS

Know what each control operates.

Your wall switch, remote or touchscreen may operate one opening or a group. At handover, confirm which controls serve each door or window and how opening, closing and stopping are selected.

02 / MOVEMENT

Give the opening room to move.

Keep the travel area clear and watch the opening during operation. If movement changes or the system behaves unexpectedly, stop using it and contact Airla with the details rather than repeatedly testing it.

Understand operation & protection →

03 / HANDOVER

Keep the right information together.

Keep your system instructions, project reference and control details accessible. Manual operation and power-loss arrangements vary; confirm the procedure for your particular installation at handover.

AFTER INSTALLATION

A considered handover.

Training should relate to the installed opening and the people using it. We can help you understand the controls and the automation scope coordinated with your door or window manufacturer.

For homeowners.

Understand everyday operation, the location of controls and which settings have been agreed for the installation. Keep instructions accessible to other people using the home.

For builders & manufacturers.

Coordinate commissioning, access and the final opening details. Make sure the automation information is handed over alongside the door or window hardware information.

For facilities teams.

Record the opening locations, control groups and relevant project contacts. Confirm the agreed operating strategy for high-level windows, shared spaces and integrated systems.

HELP US UNDERSTAND THE OPENING

A clear enquiry.
A better starting point.

Send the context that will help us assess the automation before arranging the next step.

  1. Project and location: the project name, suburb and installation or quotation reference, if available.
  2. The opening: whether it is a door or window, its configuration and which control you use.
  3. What has changed: describe what happens, when it started and whether one opening or several are affected.
  4. Useful evidence: attach clear photos or drawings. If you have a short video, include a share link and describe the movement it shows.

Our website enquiry form requires an attachment or a meaningful written description. If you have neither photos nor drawings available, explain the opening and the question in enough detail for us to assess it.

Send your support enquiry

Airla handles the automation: motors, actuators, controls and their installation. If the issue concerns the door or window frame, glazing or other hardware, the opening manufacturer may also need to be involved.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Before you get in touch.

Can I operate my doors or windows during a power outage?

That depends on the installed motor, controls and any manual-release or backup arrangement. Follow your system instructions and ask Airla to confirm the procedure for your installation. Do not assume another project’s procedure applies to your opening.

Can you add a remote, touchscreen or sensor later?

We can assess suitable additions against your existing system. Send the motor and control details, project reference and photos so we can check compatibility. Explore the controls range for available options.

Can you help with an existing door or window?

Yes, we can assess a potential automation retrofit. Suitability depends on the opening’s condition, moving weight, hardware, available space, power and access. See our retrofit assessment guidance before sending your enquiry.

What should I do if the opening stops unexpectedly?

Stop using the opening and record what happened. Send Airla the project details, control type and a clear description or existing video of the behaviour. Avoid repeatedly cycling or forcing the opening while the cause is unclear.

Does Airla supply replacement glass, frames or complete windows?

Airla supplies and installs the automation. Your door or window manufacturer supplies the opening and its glazing and hardware. We coordinate with them where the automation and opening need to be assessed together.

Where can I see demonstrations?

Visit our Australian projects and automation applications. Each film demonstrates a particular opening; controls and operating arrangements are selected for the individual project.

Let’s understand your opening.

Send your project details, photos or a clear description. We’ll use them to assess the appropriate next step.
